Hey, I'm Bec McFarland

When I referred to "your favourite career coach" before, I was talking about ME! Call me conceited, but if you've made it this far in my online world then we're probably of the same ilk. 

But just in case you're not sold on me, here are a few things you should know: 

  • I'm a people-focused introvert. Which basically means I'd love to hang out with you but I'll need to hermit afterwards.
  • I'm neuro-divergent - I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 20. I tend to be a bit of a magnet for those who identify as "neuro-spicy", but you're welcome here regardless.
  • I'm an INFJ (Myers-Briggs), Generator (Human Design), S (DISC), 2 or 3 (Enneagram - depending on the day), Celebrity (Denise Duffield-Thomas' Money Archetypes) and a Capricorn Sun with Aries Rising and a Cancer Moon (old-fashioned astrology).
  • I adore animals and feel a special connection to them. I have a dog and two bearded dragon lizards of my own (one Eastern and one Central).
  • I don't particularly like travelling... I am definitely NOT the tourist-type. I prefer to be at home, but an occasional trip to a Fijian resort won't cause too much complaint! 
  • I'm a very picky eater. I do love Mexican food, coconut, lemon meringue pie, Black Forest Cake and tiramisu. Yep, I'm a sweet tooth. To the absolute detriment of my blood sugar. 

Frequently Asked Questions

When does Win at Work start? 

Whenever you are ready. Win at Work is a rolling membership, which means you can join any time! You're also free to leave whenever it suits you, although when you see the amount of value on offer, we don't think you'll want to! 

I like my job. Is Win at Work for me? 

Totally. Although there are resources included that are designed to support job-seekers, this is NOT a membership about finding a new job. It's all about helping you achieve your career goals - whatever they are - and support you in finding your own personal flavour of career fulfilment. 

Does it include 1:1 support? 

No. For $9 a month, I can't offer you my individual attention. But that doesn't mean you can't get your questions answered. Submit your career queries through our Win at Work form and I'll answer them on the Win at Work private podcast. It's just like having me in your pocket!

Can I ask questions anonymously?

Absolutely! I'm happy to credit you for the question and give you a shout out, or you can remain anonymous. Completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. 

What happens if I fall behind? 

There is literally no such thing. Sure, we provide a lot of content. But think of it like a buffet meal - take whatever you feel like and leave the rest. Come back for seconds or eat dessert before your main meal! We don't mind. You get to choose your own Win at Work adventure.

How much time do I need?  

How long is a piece of string? We're not trying to be flippant, but honestly, you can spend as much time as you like. The more effort you put into your participation, the more you'll get out. But there isn't a minimum or mandatory amount of time you need. Remember - choose your own adventure! 

Will anyone find out I'm a member?

Not if you don't want them to! When you join, we'll send you a graphic that you can share on social media if you want - we're super grateful for you telling your friends about Win at Work if that feels good to you. If not, you can be completely anonymous! 

What if I join and I don't like it? 

You can leave at any time! No questions asked and no hoops to jump through. But we are pretty sure you'll love being part of the Win at Work membership!
